Stanford Club of Hong Kong

SCHK 2009 March Newsletter

Dear Stanford Alumni and Friends,

As always, the club is encouraged by the robust turnout at the breakfast event last month on philanthropy in Hong Kong (hosted by our esteemed alumni, Mr. Chien Lee).  For this month, we switch gears a little and bring to you a reception/presentation on stress management by Dr. Robbins, Director of Stanford Cardiovascular Institution and Chairman of Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Stanford.  Alumni who have in the past attended Dr. Robbins’ presentation can tell you that this is one presentation that you would not want to miss.

On May 9, we will be holding our Annual General Meeting during which we will elect new Stanford Club committee members, catch up on the last year's events and discuss ideas for the upcoming year. Also, in line with the club’s promotion of interaction between alumni and faculty, the committee is honored to invite Professor Harry Harding, renown scholar in US-Asian and US-Sino affairs, to be the guest of honor at the upcoming 2009 AGM.  Please mark your calendars and stay tuned for more information on this and other upcoming events.
